Joe's obituary

Joseph Patrick O'Mara, 58, of Wheaton, IL passed away on December 9.

Joe was born on May 5, 1965 to Joan and Patrick in Oak Park, IL. Joe went to high school at St. Ignatius College Prep and remained a proud alumnus throughout his entire life.

Joe was a passionate finance entrepreneur and his charisma, drive, and intelligence contributed to his success and popularity in the industry. He loved finding ways to innovate and was constantly challenging himself.

Joe was the proud father of six children: Caleigh, Thomas, Brit, Owen, Eleanor, and Oliver. He spent all of his free time with his kids, whether it was going to Top Golf, bowling, or the zoo. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, and world traveler. He was a professional at telling dad jokes and had the most contagious laugh.

Joe was predeceased by his sisters, Kathleen Callahan and Patty O'Mara, and his parents, Joan O'Mara and Patrick O'Mara. He is survived by his children Caleigh O'Mara (spouse: Charles Angelo), Thomas O'Mara, Brit O'Mara, Owen O'Mara, Eleanor O'Mara, and Oliver O'Mara; siblings Marybeth O'Mara (spouse: Jeffery Shepard), Michael O'Mara (spouse: Marykate O'Mara), Kevin O'Mara (spouse: Sharon O'Mara), Neil O'Mara (spouse: Monika Wieske), and Peter O'Mara (spouse: Rachel O'Mara); many beloved nephews and nieces and ex-wife Amiee Arimura.
