I am so sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I was a teammate at UNH, we were in the same year. I would room with Joe and Gio on our spring trips to Fla. Reading the condolences I see that Joe lived a great life, although gone too soon. My condolences to family and friends.

I knew Joe from Southington High School, I was an avid baseball groupie. He was an amazing pitcher. He was the “new kid” from NJ but his talent soon won him many fans. Rest In Peace, sympathy to the family and friends who knew him best.
My condolences to Joe’s family. I knew Joe from Southington HS, I was a senior and Joe was a JR.  Joe wanted to go to the Prom with his teammates and asked me.  Perfect gentleman, nice, funny and well liked by everyone.  Prayers, Kim (LeBrun) Altieri

I grew up with Joe in Fair Lawn.  As a kid he was known as one of the best athletes in town.  A great pitcher with a wicked fastball, kids in town including me we’re afraid to stand in the batters box against him. Most of all, I remember him to be a friendly and kind person. Based on all the tributes, those traits endured throughout his life.

Joe was great leader of people and supported me throughout my career but the thing I remember most was that he was a kind, caring and gentle man. On the many occasions I would travel from the UK to spend time working with Joe and his team, he would welcome me to his home and treat me like family.

I have had so many hilarious moments with Joe - most of which involved golf and Budweiser (the King of Beers as he used to say) - in some stunning locations around the world.  There are so many things I will miss about Joe and some lessons learned that I keep with me today and share with others, so his legacy definitely lives on in many ways.

It is so upsetting that Joe has been taken from us too early but the testament to the man, is the warmth he shared, and the impact he made on the people around him, and he made a BIG impact.

My heart goes out to Joe's family and friends, and I wish them well at this difficult time.

Joe, you will be missed my friend...

I have very fond memories of working with Joe... never a direct reporting relationship but as part of a larger team & a smaller circle of trust.  He was always so full of good cheer & camaraderie; the largest of grins, the firm shake of the hand & that New Jersey take on an English accent he liked to try & put on when pronouncing my name in greeting! (There was the often fulfilled promise of a cold drink a little later.)

A great guy, taken way too soon!

My heartfelt condolences to all of Joe's family & friends.

Blessed to have Joe as a neighbor and friend for many years; we shared smiles and laughter, delicious dinner and drinks, music, great big "bear" hugs, and many rounds of golf with expert advice.  Fond memories we will forever treasure as a family.

We send our heartfelt sorrow to the Lembo family from the Corrells.

Worked with Joseph @ Salomon Brothers  many years ago....the Lembo Golf outings were

legendary...  SO sorry for your loss

My name is Kevin Daley.  I was on the Southington High School baseball team with Joe our senior year of 1977.   I shared this story with Joe and Joe Jr last fall at a memorial golf tournament for our coach.  It was a playoff game and Joe was the star of the team and team captain.  I could not get off the bench all season.  Joe was warming up in the bullpen prior to that game and I as the only lefty on the team was asked to warm up next  to Joe just to throw off the other team.  Out of the blue one of my Aunt's shows up to the game...she did not live near us but she came  to only one game and it was this  game.  She yelled over the fence "Kevin are you pitching today"?  I was embarrassed and about to say I am a decoy but Joe jumped up and said "no I am starting today but Kevin will be in if I get in trouble".  Lucky for me,  Joe only gave up one run and pitched a   complete game.  That is one of my favorite stories of one of my favorite classmates.....he did not have to say that but he did it  for me.   He was an amazing athlete but so much more a better person.   To his family I am deeply saddened for your loss and hope his many memories live in your hearts forever.
Joe you was my boss, my mentor and my friend I cannot believe that you have left this world so early. Sadly my friend our plans of meeting again are now no longer until I join you in heaven. With you gone Joe there is a huge hole in my heart, all I have is the memories that we shared, and my friend we had plenty.  As the tears fall from my face  buddy let me say THANK YOU for allowing me to share a small part of your life, I miss you and wish you peace my brother
I've known Joe for over 40 yrs, I have considered him one of my close friends, a true friend that I always enjoyed being with and having him whip my backside in golf, I don't have words to express all my thoughts about how this saddens me and what a "great man" he was...May you rest in love and peace my friend.
