OAK GROVE, LOUISIANA
OAK GROVE, LA - Joseph Gordon LeCompte, age 78, entered into eternal life on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
Mr. LeCompte was a retired chemist for Dow Chemical. He was an avid duck hunter spending much of his time in a duck blind. The rest of the year he fished.
He is preceded in death by his father, Rodolph Joseph LeCompte and mother, Cecile Mary (Hays) LeCompte.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Martin) Harrell LeCompte of Oak Grove, Louisiiana; son and daughter-in-law, James Joseph and Cheryl LeCompte of Gordon, Texas; son, Timothy Gordon LeCompte of Denton, Texas; sister, Janice Delgado of San Antonio, Texas; special cousin, Betsy Coreil of Lafayette, Texas; step son, Jeff Harrell and Lacey Sims of Oak Grove, Louisiana; step son and his wife, Jared and Casey Harrell of Oak Grove, Louisiana; 6 step grandchildren: Hannah Harrell Highum (Cole) of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; Chandler Harrell of Hallsville, Texas; Jackson Harrell of Oak Grove, Louisiana; Hadley Harrell of Oak Grove, Louisiana; Emery Harrell of Oak Grove, Louisiana; and Izzy Jones of Oak Grove, Louisiana.
As per Gordon's wishes, there will be no services. You can still show your support by planting a tree or donating to Duck's Unlimited or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in memory of Joseph Gordon LeCompte.
