Joseph Ryan Kinard, 87, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born on November 23, 1931, in Savannah, GA. He was the son of the late James and Caroline Kinard.
After serving in the Korean War, Joseph was employed as an engineer with the Union Pacific Railroad Company. After his retirement he enjoyed being an active member of his community, and lending a hand to anyone in need. He also loved spending time with his family on weekends watching the Dallas Cowboys play football.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents James and Caroline, an older brother James, a younger sister Madeline, and a son Kenneth. He is survived by his loving wife Mary; sons Jon, Brett, Michael and Donald; daughters Julie, Dana, and Elizabeth; along with 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at 12pm at Jones Funeral Home in Stephens City. A viewing for family will begin at 11am. Interment will follow.
