Thinking of you on your birthday today. I miss you every day ❤️
Thinking bout you Joe.  Just a friend who came around late and knew you in your last five - 10 years.  You’re out there somewhere.  Hope to see you again.
Joey was one of the best friends that I ever had. He was a good friend to me even when I didn't deserve his friendship. He was taken from all of us way too soon. As I look back and actually realize how much he meant to me it is easy to blame myself for losing touch with him as I lived my life and moved around the world, but I don't think that Joey blamed me. I'm positive that he understood and loved me all the same. That's the kind of person that he was. It's rare in this world to find a friend like that so cherish the ones that you have. The next time you're thinking of someone that you have lost touch with, just call them. Leave a voicemail, or send a text and just let them know that regardless of time or distance you love them and are thinking of them because you might not get another chance. Rest in peace, brother. The world was a better place with you in it and we miss you so, so much.

I am overwhelmed by the number of friends and family that participated in Joe's Celebration of Life! There were about 130 guests in attendance. It was quite a tribute to him and demonstrated that EVERYBODY LOVED JOE.

I truly wish I could attend this ceremony. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all and especially for Joey along with his family. I am there every day with him in spirit and even before now; as I will be with all my friends whom I think of always. I will be back in October and hope with any help please…I want to pay my respects when I return to Cali for visit. I hope to stop by to give him some aloha from the islands in the Ohana aka “Family “ way! Thank you for sharing this day for us though I am unable to attend.
Joey was always cool to me. We hung out before way back in the day. We had mutual friends in El Segundo. He always seemed to be laughing or have a smile. We weren't close, but I have only good memories and nice things to say. To his family and close friends, so sorry for your loss. As I know a heart condition is no joke.

Jean and Mike, We were so sorry to read about Joe's death. We immediately thought about his summer operation and how that success uplifted you. Unfortunately, the heart challenges many of us to the point we are thankful for each new day that we have. I'm sure Joe enjoyed each day he was given until the end. We have you and your family in our prayers, and ask God's blessing on all of you.
Love, Joe and Nancy Ruane
