Joseph's obituary
“I just want simple happiness to remain forever.” - Joseph Fiddmont (01/19/2014 at 5:24 AM)
Joseph Keith Fiddmont was born to Bridgette Bryant-Majied and Frederick Keith Fiddmont on April 22nd,1992 and raised in Los Angeles, California.
A proud graduate of View Park Preparatory Accelerated Charter High School, he went on to graduate from Manhattanville College with honors, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. During his time at Manhattanville, he studied abroad in Madrid, Spain, which fueled his passion for international travel. He eventually visited Dubai, Italy, Saint Martin, Saba, and France.
Joseph was a global citizen. An eclectic artist. A humble teacher. And an eternal student. His life’s mission was to enlighten all he came in contact with, and he did; through his music, through his writing, through his conversation- he gave light. And life.
Joseph exhibited an insatiable thirst for knowledge. He loved exploring philosophy, world religions, Pan-African history, linguistics, and visual & sonic art. He read many religious texts cover to cover. He truly had a heart that longed for God.
Joseph married his beloved college sweetheart, Martika Marshall, on September 22, 2018. Throughout their relationship, which spanned over a decade long, they spread love, laughter, & tenderness across continents, impacting and inspiring all who witnessed the strength and purity of their union.
Joseph produced music under the name “Pneumatic”, which he chose because it means “related to spirit”. Joseph believed that there was something greater than flesh. And if he were here, he would encourage everyone to explore that part of themselves: the spirit, which is never born, and therefore, can never die.
He is survived by his wife, Martika, his parents Bridgette & Keith. Step-parents Rahimah & Khalif. His grandmothers Marion and Alverne. His brothers James, Jesse, & Jerrod. His nephew Roman. His aunts, uncles, godparents, and a host of family and friends.

“I accept you and love you because we are the same. There's nothing left to learn. There's nothing left to do. There's no need to hold on, but all to be thankful for.” - Joseph Keith Fiddmont
