Joseph's obituary

Joseph H. Duncan, 90, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2022 at his residence at Adventura at Pembrooke in West Chester.

Born on January 16,1932 in Philadelphia, Pa., he was a son of Anne and William Duncan.

Joe graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following graduation, he served in the Navy for 3 years and 5 months. After being honorably discharged, Joe took a job with Ingersoll-Rand as a Sales Engineer. After a long and distinguished career with Ingersoll-Rand, he moved on and opened up a Postman Plus franchise in Phoenixville. His second wife, Cecilia Rossi, opened up a gift shop in the Postman Plus for a good part of the time that the Postman Plus was in business. After the passing of Cecilia, Joe closed up shop and retired.

While married to his first wife, Carol, Joe would take the family sailing and on vacations to the Poconos, Seaside Heights and Barnegat Light, New Jersey beaches.

He was an active member of the Kiwanis and Christ Church of the Valley for several years.

Joe was preceded in death by his first wife(Carol Duncan), his second wife (Cecilia Rossi), his oldest daughter Jennifer Cohen, and his grandson James(Julian) Trombetti.

Surviving Joseph are 4 children; sons Hank Duncan (Linda), Mark Duncan (Coleen), daughters Jessica Mogul-Chendarain(Barry) and Beth Wirosloff(Jeff). In addition, he is survived by his brother Fred Duncan (Marge); grandchildren Clifton Martin (Lisa), Christian Kenne, Caroline Lloyd,(Jonathon) Tyler Duncan (Sylvia), Melissa Duncan, Mitchell Wirosloff, Kassandra Duncan, Camryn Duncan, and Joelle Rush as well as many great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Military Funeral Services at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. The address is 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, Pa. 18940. The time of the Military Funeral Service with Honor Guard presentation begins promptly at 10:00 a.m on Friday, June 17.
