Joseph's obituary
Joseph (Joe) Dorocak, 78, of Sacramento, CA passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 01, 2025. Joe grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut and involved himself in music at an early age as a member of the Bridgeport PAL Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. Joe graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1964 and spent time working in the drafting department at Sikorsky Aircraft.
After high school Joe attended the University of Bridgeport (BS Math) and the University of Massachusetts (MS Computer Science) learning computer programming at it's beginning. He was also a member of the University of Bridgeport's choral society.
Joe applied his education as a computer programmer specializing in cross platform integration. He worked at many different technology companies throughout his life including IBM, Applied Technology, GTE Sprint, Ford Aerospace, and Hewlett Packard.
An avid musician, Joe enjoyed singing, playing, and composing music especially for his church communities. Joe was active in multiple church communities including Church of the Epiphany in San Carlos, California and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Sacramento, California. Joe was an active member of the Cursillo movement participating and leading multiple spiritual retreats as well as being a Stephen Minister for Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.
Joe was predeceased by his father and mother, Joseph and Julia. He is survived by his sister, MaryAnn, his former wife and mother of his daughters, Kathy, his daughters, Jessica and Becky, his sons-in-law, Michael and Gil, and his grandchildren, Jonah, Grace, Mason, and Julia.

Joseph will be dearly missed and always remembered.
