On September 16, 2025, Joseph Charles Howard, age 39, was called home to heaven.

Joseph was born on October 28, 1985, in Columbus, Ohio, and resided in Carrollton, Ohio. He was the beloved son of John Howard of the home and Jan Hershberger of Rittman, Ohio.

He is survived by his siblings, Jessica (Ted) Dryden of Springfield, Ohio; Jerrod Howard of Newcomerstown, Ohio; Jemma (Glen) Harig of New Philadelphia, Ohio; and Julia (Justin) Johnson of New Philadelphia, Ohio. Joseph was a proud and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, who brought great joy to his life.

He was welcomed into Heaven by his son, Avery, and his nephew, Kiean, along with his maternal and paternal grandparents who preceded him in death.

Joseph will be remembered for his love of fishing, hiking, cooking, and most of all, spending time with the people he loved.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
