I'm so sorry for the loss of Joe.  I first met Joe when at the gym and we would often get together for lunch after a lift. Never had a meal or conversation I didn't enjoy. Joe was an absolute food snob, and I loved that about him. Anyone who knew Joe would tell you that he loved to prepare amazing food for the people he cared for. He will be imprinted in my heart as someone who made an effort in our friendship, and strived for knowledge in the interests he was passionate about. I think of him often when I am at the gym, and when I am with my dog. Joe is one of the reasons my pup is in my life. He really pushed to add a dog to my life simply because they really are mans best friend. This is my first dog, and the experience has been a blessing. I have been blessed to meet so many amazing people through my dog in my community. Credit to Joe for extending that to me. It has been nearly 2 years since Joe passed. I remain grateful for the time we had together, and blessed that he is a part of my journey. My heart goes out to Joe's friends and family.

- Be well ❤️🫂

I worked with Joe a few years ago, and was deeply saddened to hear the news. I enjoyed talking with him in the office about movies, music, and exercise. He was very knowledgeable about fitness, and was eager to share tips and tricks that he learned from articles/videos that he had seen online. He really liked the IPIC movie theater at Pike & Rose, and would talk about seeing the latest movies there. He was popular among our co-workers, and often had several people stopping by his desk to chat. I extend my condolences and sympathies to the Chaney family during this time of grief.
We spent the whole day chasing after a sunset for one picture that wasn’t even that good
