I am in complete shock of your passing. I haven't seen you in a very long time, but you always made me laugh and touched my soul. You will be in our hearts always and forever.
Even though we both made some stupid decisions in our lives, we always had each other 2 fall back on. U were always there when I needed u and it sucks 2 now have to wonder and hope u felt the same. I am proud to call u my brother. I never thought this is the way things would go but sadly we're here. Fly high lil bro, until we meet again. #gonebutneverforfotten

I have a lot of memories over the yrs with Joey from being in elementary school with him and marrying into his family later in life. Of course there are the funny stories like him falling down my stairs tripping on a shoe, him doing donuts in my mom's old backyard to show off his new car that his mom bought him, to when he literally cut the dang roof off and made his own convertible lol! (He really drove all around like that too!) My fondest memories of him though, are when he helped me with his nephew and my daughter that he excepted from day 1 when I was a single mom working 3 jobs. There was a period when his brother wasn't around and he would offer to pick my son up so I could work or just so I could catch a break. Just knowing I had someone else on my team at the time when no-one else was will always be the way I remember him. Like all family and friends we tend to drift apart as we get older and life takes u different directions but I wish I would have got to spend more time with him and that he had more time spent with my kids, his niece and nephews. Now that he's gone and that opportunity is past I promise to make sure to continue to tell my kids all the stories and memories we have and make sure they know that they had one hell of an uncle! RIH Joey! Watch over us and keep us safe! Your one and only sis in law Marie. πŸ™πŸ§‘β€πŸ˜˜
