Longtime Whittier resident, Joseph Aulger, passed away on August 24, 2021 at 530pm, with his son Tim by his side after a valiant battle with cancer.

 Firstborn son of Marion & Al Aulger, Disco Joe (as he preferred to be called), graduated from California High School in 1964. He later married Debbie Carder & they have two children, Melanie & Timothy Aulger. Disco Joe also has two daughters and a son from prior relationships; Andrea Lenington, Lorina Craig-McInnis & Anthony Hummer-Aulger.

 Joe was a local Disc Jockey by trade for many years in addition to being a gifted mechanic. He resided in Whittier most of his life, up until a handful of years ago when he decided living near the beach would be nice. He made many friends at his new home in Garden Grove. We, the children of Joe, are forever grateful to those who helped make his final years so enjoyable. 

 Disco Joe leaves behind the 5 children mentioned above as well as two sisters, Linda Dawkins of CO & Valarie Platz of TX. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion, his father, Alvin & his beloved little brother, Mark Aulger. Joe also leaves behind 12 grandchildren; Kathleen, Amber, Rachel, Ashley, Skye, Israel, Micah, Sonoma, Paisley, Tyler, Taylee & Tayler, in addition to 4 great-grandchildren; Charlotte, Antony, Peighton & Caliana & several nephews & nieces. 

A celebration of life for Disco Joe will be held on September 18, 2021 in Fullerton, CA. This event will be held via zoom & in person. Contact Joe's daughter Melanie (melanieaulger@hotmail.com) for more information if interested in attending this celebration in his honor.
