Jose R Chaves, 79, of Tiverton, RI, beloved husband of Filomena Chaves, passed away, at his home, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on, March 15, 2021. Born, in Malbusca, Santa Maria, Açores, Portugal. He was the son of the late Antonio Chaves and Deolinda Sousa Rego. José trained for the Portuguese Air Force, on Terceira Island, and went on to Lisbon and to serve his country during the Portuguese Colonial war. He emigrated to …
