Jose's obituary

August 24, 1972 - April 13, 2025

With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of Jose Jesuz Olavarria—a devoted father, proud grandfather, loving son, and deeply valued friend. Jose’s life was defined by his unwavering love for his family, his quiet resilience, and the steady, grounding presence he offered to everyone around him.

He was the devoted father of Kristina and Hailey Olavarria (Myranda Lewis), and a guiding light to his adopted son and nephew, Steven Olavarria. Above all, Jose found his greatest joy and pride in his granddaughter, Mya Rose Lowery. She was his heart, his sunshine, and the light of his life. Their bond was unbreakable, and her love brought him peace, warmth, and purpose.

Jose was preceded in death by his stepfather, Antonio Ruiz, and his brother-in-law, Christopher Bedell Sr., both of whom he held close in life and now joins in rest.

He is survived by his parents, Jose Beltre and Aida Ruiz, along with a large and loving family of siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended relatives. He will be remembered not only for his loyalty and quiet strength, but also for the deep love he gave without hesitation and the quiet faith he carried in his heart.

While Jose did not seek the spotlight, his presence left a lasting impact. His love was shown in the everyday moments—through his support, his sacrifices, and his deep, steady care for those he loved.

In lieu of a traditional funeral service, the family will be reaching out to invite those closest to Jose to a celebration of life. It will be a time to reflect, to honor, and to share the love he gave so freely.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness,

which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day…”

—2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NIV)

May Jose’s soul find eternal rest, and may his memory be a source of strength and peace to all who knew and loved him.
