Jose Luis Leos, Sr., age 78, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025.

Jose was born on August 15, 1947, in Texas. He lived a life rooted in hard work, kindness, and deep love for his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Jose was known for always showing up for others.

He worked most of his life as a machinist and taxi driver, taking great pride in helping people get where they needed to go, both literally and figuratively. True to his generous spirit, he was always willing to “give you a ride” and lend a helping hand.

Jose loved telling stories, sharing his knowledge of history, and listening to music. Those who knew him well will remember his humor, wisdom, and generosity, as well as the warmth he brought into every conversation.

He is survived by his sons, Jose Jr. and Ian; his daughters, Vicky, Gaby, and Zita; and his beloved grandchildren, who were a great source of pride and joy in his life.

Jose Luis Leos, Sr. will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
