Jose Gomez, age 58, passed away on Thursday February 18, 2021 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. Jose was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on August 18, 1962, son of Alvaro Gomez and Hortencia (nee: Estrada) Gomez.

On June 23, 2000, Jose was united in marriage to Maria Cervantes. Jose was a member of Mison San Juan Diego Catholic Church. In his spare time, Jose enjoyed watching sports, movies, and spending time with his family. Jose was always happy, enjoyed socializing with family and friends, and was always making people laugh.

Jose will be dearly missed by his wife of 20 years, Maria; children, Kristina Gomez and Jose Gomez Jr.; mother, Hortencia Gomez; brother Hermerejildo Gomez, sisters Maria Gomez and Alejandrina Gomez; nieces Sandra Gomez, Perla Gomez Lopez, Maria, and Maelbi, nephews Jorge Torres Gomez, Albaro Gomez, Mauricio Gomez, Cesar Gomez, Wiluber, Adrian, Edgar, Eduardo, Rosalio, Eugenio, other relatives and friends. Jose was preceded in death by his father, Alvaro, his sister Cecelia, and his brother Antonio Gomez.

Private family services will be held.

José Gómez, de 58 años, falleció el jueves 18 de febrero de 2021 en el Northwest Community Hospital en Arlington Heights, IL. José nació en Zacatecas, México el 18 de agosto de 1962, hijo de Álvaro Gómez y Hortencia (nee: Estrada) Gómez.

El 23 de junio de 2000, José se unió en matrimonio a María Cervantes. José era miembro de la Iglesia Católica Mison San Juan Diego. En su tiempo libre, José disfrutaba viendo deportes, películas y pasando tiempo con su familia. José siempre estaba feliz, disfrutaba socializar con familiares y amigos y siempre hacía reír a la gente.

José será profundamente extrañado por su esposa de 20 años, María; niños, Kristina Gomez y Jose Gomez Jr .; madre, Hortencia Gómez; el hermano Hermerejildo Gómez, las hermanas María Gómez y Alejandrina Gómez; sobrinas Sandra Gomez, Perla Gomez Lopez, Maria y Maelbi, sobrinos Jorge Torres Gomez, Albaro Gomez, Mauricio Gomez, Cesar Gomez, Wiluber, Adrian, Edgar, Eduardo, Rosalio, Eugenio, otros familiares y amigos. José fue precedido en la muerte por su padre, Álvaro, su hermana Cecilia y su hermano Antonio Gómez.
