Jose Cortez of Rialto, California, a devoted man of faith, family, and music, peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 4, 2025, at the age of 94.

Born on April 25, 1931, Jose lived a life deeply rooted in his love for God and service to others. He dedicated most of his adult life to preaching the Word and shepherding his community with great wisdom, humility, and compassion. Whether behind the pulpit or beside a neighbor in need, Jose's presence brought peace, strength, and hope.

Jose’s love for his family was the heartbeat of his life. He was a cherished husband, a proud father of four, a beloved grandfather, and a doting great-grandfather. His legacy of love, kindness, and faith lives on in each of them.

A lifelong musician, Jose found joy in lifting spirits through song. His guitar was rarely out of reach, and his music filled the walls of his church and the hearts of many. Right up until the final days of his life, he could be found playing hymns and praising God in the most sincere and beautiful way he knew how.

Jose Cortez leaves behind his loving wife, his four children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a community forever touched by his faith and his music.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing he is now at peace, likely playing his guitar in heaven, still singing praises with that same familiar warmth.

His was a life well-lived, and he will be deeply missed
