Jose Luis Castillo, aka Joey, passed away on February 5, 2025 at the age of 43. He was born and raised in San Antonio, TX to his mother, Teresa,  and father, Jose. Joey had 4 siblings - Mario, Christian, Cynthia, and Carlos - who he loved fiercely. Joey met his love, Ashley, and they had two beautiful children together - Jose and Jasmine - who were his whole world. Joey loved all of his family more than anything, and he was quick to defend any of them, no matter the situation, because his love for them triumphed above all else. Joey loved talking to people and getting to know them, all the whole cracking jokes and making people smile. Anyone who knew Joey knew what a good man he truly was in his soul, and our lives were enriched because of his presence. 

Joey is preceded in death by his grandmother, Isabel E Briseno; uncle Guillermo Rock; brother Christian A Carvajal; uncle William H Long; mother Teresa D Castillo. 

Joey leaves behind his father, Jose A Castillo; brothers Mario A Carvajal and Carlos U Fitch; sister Cynthia T Castillo; son Jose Castillo and daughter Jasmine Castillo; grandmother Josefina B Aragon; and so many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and everyone who ever loved him.
