Con profundo pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento del Sr. José Cristóbal Ávila, un padre, esposo y hombre de gran integridad, quien partió de esta vida el 16 de octubre de 2025. Nacido el 17 de noviembre de 1953, José vivió una vida llena de pasión, perseverancia y un amor inquebrantable por su familia y su comunidad.
Hombre de notable determinación y dedicación, José construyó un legado inspirador basado en el trabajo arduo y la fe. Con orgullo obtuvo la ciudadanía estadounidense, siguió su amor por las artes culinarias con excelencia y logró ser dueño y operador de su propio restaurante, recibiendo reconocimiento por sus contribuciones en el campo. Uno de sus mayores logros fue la construcción de su casa soñada en El Salvador, símbolo perdurable de su esfuerzo y fortaleza.
Quienes conocieron a José recordarán su espíritu alegre y aventurero, así como su naturaleza cálida y compasiva. Era conocido por su bondad, optimismo y su capacidad para levantar el ánimo de los demás con su apoyo y sentido del humor. Para su familia, fue un pilar de fuerza y sabiduría, siempre enseñando la importancia de cuidar a los seres queridos, mantenerse firme ante los desafíos y confiar en el plan de Dios. El legado de José vivirá a través de su amada esposa Mauricia Avila; sus hijos Elisa Avila y Rony Avila; sus nietos y bisnietos, quienes fueron su mayor orgullo y alegría.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mr. José Cristóbal Avila, a devoted father, husband, and man of great integrity, who departed this life on October 16, 2025. Born on November 17, 1953, José lived a life defined by passion, perseverance, and unwavering love for his family and community.
A man of remarkable determination and dedication, José built an inspiring legacy through hard work and faith. He proudly achieved U.S. citizenship, pursued his love for the culinary arts with excellence, and successfully owned and operated his own restaurant — earning recognition for his contributions in the field. One of his proudest accomplishments was building his dream home in El Salvador, a lasting symbol of his persistence and strength.
Those who knew José will remember his outgoing, adventurous spirit and his warm, compassionate nature. He was known for his kindness, optimism, and the ability to uplift others with his encouragement and humor. To his family, he was a pillar of strength and wisdom — always teaching the importance of caring for one another, staying determined in the face of challenges, and trusting in God’s plan. His life was a beautiful reflection of faith, resilience, and generosity.
José’s legacy will live on through his beloved wife Mauricia Avila; his children Elisa Avila and Rony Avila; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were his greatest joy and pride.
