Jonathan's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jonathan Woodson, a beloved son, brother, and friend. Jonathan was born on August 14, 1987, and sadly left us on June 14, 2023. He will be fondly remembered for his caring, funny, optimistic, outgoing, and charismatic personality.
Jonathan is survived by his devoted mother, Karen Jones, and his loving siblings, sister Angelica Jones, sister Antaneshia Woodson, and brother Dominic Jones. He was predeceased by his father, Jimmy Woodson, and his grandmother, Gladis Woodson.
A Celebration of Life for Jonathan was held on June 23, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Beth Eden Missionary Baptist Church, where family and friends gathered to honor his memory and share stories of his remarkable life.
Jonathan graduated from high school in Fort Worth, TX, in 2005. He was an ardent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and loved playing football. His favorite vacation spots included trips to California, where he could enjoy the sunshine and vibrant energy of the state.
Jonathan's passion for life was evident in every aspect: his love for his family, his favorite color blue, and the causes he cared about. One of the greatest lessons Jonathan had to share was how to never give up, inspiring those who knew him to persevere in the face of adversity.
Among Jonathan's many accomplishments, he was particularly proud of his Grand Marquis. This car was his prized possession and a testament to his love for fixing things up.
Jonathan's untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is gone way too soon, but we take solace in knowing that he is in a better place now. Jonathan Woodson, you will be deeply missed, and your memory will be cherished forever.
