Jonathan Ravenel II, "Roo", entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 17, 2022. Jonathan was born on August 26, 1990 in Charleston, SC. He grew up on the banks of the Toogoodoo Creek and was happiest with the pluff mud between his toes; the easiest way to locate him was to look for the rooster tail from his jon boat. Jonathan could make anyone laugh and had an infectious, mischievous smile. He was fiercely protective of his mother and sisters, and was a dedicated, loving son and grandchild. After years of working construction side-by-side with his father, Jonathan was finally pursuing his dream of becoming a licensed general contractor. He found the greatest joy in life being a devoted father to his daughter.

Jonathan is survived by his daughter, McCrae Louise Ravenel; his parents, Jon and Pamela Ravenel, of Hollywood, SC; three sisters, Ali Ravenel (Chris Newton) of Meggett, SC, Julia Seifert (Colin) of Brazil, IN, and Becca Ravenel (TBD) of Hollywood, SC; grandparents Edward and Patty Ravenel, and grandmother, Mary Ravenel, of Hollywood, SC, and grandparents Richard and Joyce Rourk Sr. of Charleston, SC; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Vivian Rourk, Freddie Macon, and Linwood Korb. The family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date.
