Jonathan's obituary

Our hearts are heavy as we say our final goodbye to Jonathan Reed Hildreth. Born November 9th, 1955 in McAllen Texas to AD and Bernice Hildreth. He was known by many for his quick wit, and goofy jokes. He often had a big grin underneath that big mustache of his. It’s hard to put into words what kind of man he was. He raised his children to love the beautiful things in life. Art, music, books, hunting, fishing, and good food. He wasn’t perfect, but he loved his children more than life itself. He would walk through fire for them, and anyone else he loved. He passed in the early hours of November 22nd. As his character demanded, he fought fiercely until the Lord called him home. He will live on through his son Jonathan Hildreth and daughter Janae Hildreth, ex-wife Lori Alford and daughter in-law Lauren Hildreth. He joins his two brothers Al Hildreth and Lee Hildreth in heaven. His life was filled with demands that he was successfully battling in his later years. Along with his partner, he founded Liberty house in January 2019. Liberty House is a sober living home. It allowed those battling addiction to have a place that understood that those in recovery will make mistakes. At Liberty House you could come back from those mistakes, and still land on your feet. He finally found his calling, and that will endure. We are all very proud of the man he had become before our Lord Jesus Christ brought his soul home. God didn’t promise us a smooth sail while in our earthly form, but believe in him and your ship will safely dock in his kingdom. We believe.
