Jonah was a wonderful, loving man. Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting him knew that right away. He always put others first, his entire life. On November 4, 2022, Jonah went to the doctor’s and told them he needed a little help focusing on the things that were important to him. A physician’s assistant immediately prescribed him with what is known as a black box FDA warning medication, meaning the maker of the drug, Pfizer, and the “doctor” prescribing it knew it came with a very serious warning of a high suicide rate within the first month! My husband started taking the prescription on November 6, 2022. Three weeks later, I found him dead upstairs in our home. He had hung himself. Jonah would have never left his 20 month old son behind. Never. He loved him so. He was all about his family! You can see the love in all the pictures and videos we have and he’s sent to family and friends all the while, there is no way he would’ve taken his own life, not ever! We are all in just utter disbelief that this is our reality now, especially now at Christmas time, because he was so excited for this year! He shopped way in advance for his little guy. Jonah had no idea how deadly this prescription was, because the doctor’s office never disclosed any of that! He actually assured me it was totally fine, “a very low dose of a medicine for ADHD type focusing,” he said. A physician’s assistant gave it to him knowing suicide was an incredibly high risk (because upon researching it after this horrible, senseless tragedy, it has happened to others all over the country, and was actually pulled off the market before!!!)
While we’re certainly not looking for a handout, as his wife and mother of his young son, I’d just like to ask that if any family or friends Would like to make a donation in his beautiful memory, just know that it will go into an account especially for his son, solely to help provide for his needs and interests as he grows.
