Mr. Wahl had a big impact on me as a young man and he instilled life lesson with all of his players and students. About 15 years after I graduated HS, the school I was teaching at played Ocosta in a football game. After the game, I went over and re-introduced myself to Mr. Wahl and we started back our conversation like no time had expired since I had graduated HS. Mr. Wahl had deep commitment to the communities he served and the students and athletes he worked with and coached.

Mr. Wahl was like a father to me. I have very fond memories of the gift he gave me of being my coach and mentor. He hired me to work at the gocarts and the cranberry bog. I have nothing but respect and admiration for him. I love the guy.
