Jon's obituary

Jon Eric Stalter passed away far too soon on January 23, 2026. Born on December 6, 1988, Jon was an outgoing, loving person whose presence brought energy, laughter, and warmth to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jon is preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Stalter (Cornell) and is survived by his father, Joel Stalter of Cooperstown,NY; his brother Joshua Stalter of Mohegan Lake, NY, Joshua’s wife Heather Stalter, and their children Jack and Amelia Stalter; his brother Joel Whalen of Fort Mill, SC; and his son, Peyton Stalter of Syracuse, NY, who was the light of his life.

Jon will be remembered for his big heart, his outgoing spirit, and the deep love he had for his family. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he gave so freely.

Services will be held on March 7, 2026, at 4:00 PM, followed immediately by a memorial gathering.

The service will take place in the chapel. The memorial gathering will follow in the church hall beginning at approximately 4:30 PM.
