Jon's obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Jon Douglas Hutter of Woodinville Washington, announce his passing on September 23rd 2021 at the age of 78. He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters Gina and Jennifer, prior wife and friend Susan, grandson Ryder, son in-law Nesh and many loving friends. Jon was predeceased by his parents Marylin and Howard Hutter Jr., and siblings.
Jon was born May 18th 1943 in Washington DC. He grew up in Hawaii while his father, a WWII fighter pilot, was stationed in the military. His family later settled in San Francisco where he spent his formative years before marrying and moving to Florida and then Washington.
He relished the simplest pleasures in life including sailing, music, photography, food and wine, and friends and family. He loved being on the water and recalled memories of learning to sail with his father near Catalina Island. He was a dedicated sales professional who received countless accolades in his tenure. He was also a carpenter and engineer at heart who could build or fix anything.
Jon was a resilient man who overcame so much during his lifetime with grace and a humble attitude. He was beyond generous with his time and would like to be remembered as a kind man who always wanted to help others.
Jennifer and Gina would like to thank friends, family, and hospice for their care and loving support. Jon would be proud of his daughters love, dedication and unwavering care during a difficult pandemic.
A private service will be held at Woodinville Cemetery on October 30th to remember and celebrate his life. The remainder of his ashes will be spread where he once sailed near Catalina Island.
A quote from George Carlin that Jon lived by:
- Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
