It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Johnny Ray Norris, who left us on November 6, 2023. Born on March 18, 1962.

Johnny is survived by his sisters, Janie and Dana, brother Richard, two sons, William and Louis Norris, his 7 grandchildren, and his many friends he loved as his family. Their presence in his life brought him great joy, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments. He always played the role of a protector a trait that was deeply ingrained in his personality. He was blessed with significant wisdom and compassion, always exhibiting these virtues in his interactions with others.

Johnny was predeceased by his brother, Dukie, and his beloved mother, Betty Miller Hemric. Her memory always held a special place in his heart and continued to inspire him throughout his life.  A lover of the Philadelphia Eagles, Johnny's passion extended beyond the living room couch. His enthusiasm was infectious, bringing both inspiration and joy to those around him.

Johnny was a man who deeply cared for his family and friends. He committed himself to nurturing and fostering strong family bonds. Johnny, a 2 time golden glove fighter was always ready for the next round life brought him even conquering cancer.

A Celebration of Life service for Johnny will be held on November 18, 2023, at 1:00 PM in Battery Park. The gathering will be private for close family and friends. 

May his soul rest in peace, and his memory live forever in our hearts.
