Johnny's obituary
Johnny was born on December 23, 1954, to John Luther & Alta Mae White in Milan Georgia. Johnny attended Spady Elementary School then Carver High School (before segregation) in Delray Beach Florida. Johnny graduated from Lake Worth High, Lake Worth Florida in 1973 and was passionate about Football, Basketball and his love for Music. After graduating high school, Johnny enlisted in the United States Military Army Forces and for the next 6 years traveled the world, serving at bases throughout the United States and the world. His least favorite was Basic Training learning to take Orders. His most favorite was his billet in Germany where he was a linebacker on the Army Football Team, where he acquired the nickname the name Jojo! and exited the Military with an Honorable Discharge.
Jojo worked at United States Post Office and Heart of Georgia Nursing Facility in Eastman Georgia. Eventually, Jojo launched out to pursue his passion to be a Carpenter starting his own business as a Handy Man. He could build anything he set his mind to.
Anyone who knew Jojo, knew that he was a force to be reckoned with and a Big Teddy Bear. He had an immense passion for many different hobbies and was always a source of positivity. Β Jojo's family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
Due to the current pandemic, Covid-19, there will not be a Traditional Funeral Service. There will be a "Viewing Only" at Rollins Funeral Home 424 Pine Street, Eastman Georgia, Sunday, January 23, 2022, 11:00 am-12:00 noon (Family Only), 12:00- 6:00 Public Viewing to say their final goodbye. Jojo will be laid to rest Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery 2617 Vinson Highway Milledgeville Georgia.
