He was born January 3, 1963, in Monterey, California to Carmen Mary Guevara and John Robert Helms.
He is survived by his wife Linda Helsley-Helms, his stepson Jack, his three daughters, Brittany Anderson (Brandon), Danielle Burk (Derek) and Chloe Ablitt (Devon).
