Johnnie's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Johnnie Jelinek, a cherished father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. Born on June 9, 1977, Johnnie lived a life filled with resiliency, joy, and adventure before his untimely passing on August 12, 2024.
Johnnie's caring spirit and keen sense of humor brightened the lives of those around him. Possessing a remarkable zest for life, he embarked on numerous adventures, each experience enriching his life and the lives of those who shared these moments with him. Despite the multitude of obstacles life set before him, Johnnie's unyielding determination saw him through.
This spirit of endurance is best exemplified by his survival in circumstances where others may have surrendered. As we mourn his loss, we honor the immense strength and bravery Johnnie demonstrated throughout his lifetime.
Among his teachings, the most impactful was to "seize the moment, and do what brings you joy and laughter." These words were not mere utterances; Johnnie embodied these principles fully, leading a life that encapsulated joy, a quest for growth, and fulfillment at every turn.
He leaves a legacy of persistence and self-esteem which will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Even though life presented him with many obstacles, he never gave up. His legacy of courage will serve as a beacon of inspiration for those left behind.
Johnnie is survived by his loving children Samantha Everett and John Patrick Jelinek. Mother Donna Walker and devoted sisters, Dana Allen and Deidre Ospino -Garcia.
