John's obituary

John Winquist passed away on November 22, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 48. Born on June 12, 1976, John was a beacon of joy and warmth, known for his ability to light up a room and his deep devotion as a father.

John graduated from Hill Crest High School and later earned a degree from Northern Illinois University. He built a respected career as a Certified Public Accountant, where his precision and ethical standards set a high benchmark.

John's personal life was enriched by his passion for sports. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Chicago Bears, White Sox and Blackhwaks and an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, cherishing every moment of the games and the community spirit they fostered.

He is survived by his daughters, Milliana, Lorelai, and Genevieve; and his siblings, Joe(Pam), Karen, Kevin(Kristin), and Patrick. John was preceded in death by his parents, Sharon Winquist-Horonzy and Clarence Winquist, and his brother Steven (Stevie) Horonzy.

A service to honor John's life will be held on December 4th, from 5-8 pm, at Crossroads Christian Church, located at 2312 Essington Rd, Joliet, Illinois, 60435.
