I represent Lincoln High School, class of 1962, as the class rep.

Please accept our condolences to John Michael, Jr., and your family.

Your was. Voted the best dress in high school, and he still continued that throughout his life.

Your dad was always willing to help with our reunions. He would  go above, and beyond with any project as he did with our 50th class reunion. He had beautiful plants with red sleeves to cover  the large pots.

I found his obituary by looking for someone else.

I was shocked to see he had past two years earlier. I was considering sending a note to your mom. That is when I came across her obit in the paper.

I am so sorry to hear about mom as well.

We will forever miss his kindness, his smile, and his caring heart. ❤️

Lincoln High School 1962

Seattle.

Rena, I was trying to find you and now see that I need to tell you how sorry I am to read that John passed away a year ago.

Hope this finds you healthy and doing well.

Miss you,

Cec Murphy

Dearest Rena, John Michael, and Thompson family,

What a heavy heart it gives me to read about John's passing!  During the many hours of working with him during summers of college, I grew so very fond of him! Mostly his humor and the sparkle in his eye. He was always fun to be around, and never shy about offering life advice to a young person.  I can truly say that I felt John was more than a boss or somebody's dad.

He was my friend.

So many memories of Rena and John Jr. too, many hours around the pool trying to figure out life as teens. And then there was your dog, Sigrid? What fond memories. The neighborhood was certainly a better place because your family was there.

May God comfort you at this difficult time, please know you are in our hearts and prayers. Sending so much love to all of you.
