John Kelly, 61, of Howell, NJ, passed away on March 06, 2023 after a well-lived life full of love. 

John was born on January 27, 1962 to John and Maureen in Staten Island. After spending his entire childhood in New York, he went on to study education at Drexel University.


After graduation, he landed his first job as a history high school teacher in New Jersey and continued that career for the rest of his life. In 1985, he met Jane, and they wed a couple of years later, going on to have two children, Brandon and Nicole.


John was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to his than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his children and always tried his best to support them.


John was also a passionate artist and could often be found painting when he wasn’t at home.


Anyone who knew John knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. John was predeceased by his father John Kelly. He is survived by his beautiful children Brandon and Nicole, his wife Jane and his mother Maureen.


The family requests that instead of flowers, donations are made to YoungArts.  There will be a wake on March 10  from 3 - 8 p.m. and  a funeral service on March 11 at 11 a.m.  at Lakewood Funeral Home.
