John's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a much-loved husband, son, and friend, John Jenkins. Born on July 2, 1959, John's journey came to an end on March 20, 2024. He is survived by his steadfast wife, Kelly Clancy Jenkins.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel J Jenkins and Elizabeth Locke Jenkins. Their love and teachings imprinted on him the values of compassion and patience, which he in turn shared with everyone he encountered.
A well-educated man, John graduated with an Associate Degree from the University of Miami in 2010. His intelligence was further reflected in his love for Trivial Pursuit.
John had varied interests that contributed to his vivacious spirit. His love for food, especially pizza, and drinks such as cran-grape, milk, coffee brandy, or whiskey was well-known among his friends and family. He was an avid book reader, with the "Lord of the Rings" series being his all-time favorite.
John had an undeniable fondness for the arts and entertainment, as seen in his admiration for the works of M.C. Escher, music by The Beatles, and his favorite TV Shows: Gold Rush, The Walking Dead, and 60 Minutes. His movie of choice was "Forrest Gump".
He was a staunch supporter of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed his leisure time at home or by any large lake. To him, blue symbolized serenity, aligning with his personality that was best described as loyal to a fault, a true gentleman, and a person whom everyone could count on. His favorite pastime was watching TV, a reflection of his laid-back nature.
John's legacy is one of unwavering devotion. He was the best man any woman could hope for, a pillar of strength for those close to him. As we mourn his loss, we celebrate a life well-lived and treasure the memories which will forever live in our hearts.
