Can't believe it's been a year.  Gone but never forgotten.

John always had such an amazing, funny and unique personality.  I couldn’t wait to see him at family gatherings because he always made everything so fun.   John is someone I always looked up to and admired and I know wherever he is now he is surely making someone laugh.

John, you will always be missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace uncle John.

I always looked up to my Uncle John. He was so fun to be around and is one of the funniest people I've ever met. He took me to a Trail Blazers vs Suns game in the mid 90's and he managed to get me Charles Barkley's autograph. I will never forget him doing that for me. His sense of humor and personality will stick with me forever. He always knew when to lighten things up with a little well-timed humor. Love you Uncle John.

RIP my friend - so many memor…
2019, Oakland, CA, USA
RIP my friend - so many memories back in the Able Services  day when we first met - please forgive me for getting the Buster Posey foul ball but that was an error on your part in the NLCS … always enjoyed our discussions about sports and OSU but then it seemed to always circle back to family - Boys … your father was wonderful man and took such joy in your endeavors.   Love you brother

I went to High School and OSU with John.   Man that guy could make me laugh; I swear he could have made it big as a stand up comic.  I remember being stuck in rush hour traffic on a summer day in Portland and hearing some guy calling out my name.  I thought “what the heck is up with this guy and how does he know my name?”  Well it turned out to be John!  So we pulled over at the next exit and caught up.  We were both iHR professionals and occasionally caught up on LinkedIn.

John was one of a kind and will be missed.  I hope to see you again in heaven diving your yellow VW bug.

Shared a heart Red heart

I met John our freshman year at Marshfield high school.  We shared a common love for the Andy Griffith show and John had the best Barnie Fife impersonation that would always make me laugh.   As young knuckleheads from the sticks (Coos River and Sumner) we thought it a great idea to show our maturity by going off-campus for lunch which was comprised of a dozen donuts we would share from the local bakery.  OMG, our poor afternoon teachers who had to deal with us all jacked up on sugar.

We went our own ways after college; however, I always loved the Beavers vs Ducks banter with John.  A great man; a great friend and he is already missed.

I will miss you forever, John, and couldn't have asked for a better brother! 🥰  You were such a special addition to our family,  and were always looked up to and admired.  I lost a piece of my heart when you left us.   You will be missed terribly.  Your loving oldest sister, Susan. ❤
Uncle John was an amazing man. One of the best characters I’ve ever met.  Uncle John loved his family, and lived to create meaningful experiences with those around him.  Thank you Uncle john, I hope you know this changed me. This made me realize the type of man I want to become, the type of father I want to become for my own kids. Your smile will be burned into my memory for as long as I live. I want to do you proud Uncle John. You gave me some of the best experiences of my life, and now it’s my chance to repay what you gave me. I can’t believe you are really gone. I thought The last time I saw you wouldn’t be the last.  Your death hit me, and I know your spirit In heaven will guide me as I move forward with this hole in my heart.

This is the perfect picture.  I will never forget his funny impersonations and how he could make a room full of us, explode with a good laugh. Good memories. Love you, Uncle John❤️

I’ve known John since 7th grade. Used to ride his Honda ATC 70 all over Coos River. You will be missed by many my brother.
