John was a good man, among the best. I met him at Battisborough school where he was my first roommate and best friend. When I was at Dartmouth we would visit often, and we've been (somewhat sporadically, alas) in touch ever since. John was always confident and knew what he wanted, and achieved a good life that made him happy, especially after finding true love. He will be missed.

John was so sweet and ever so kind. I knew John way back when he was selling coffee! We had so many good times and hearty conversations through the years. I will never forget dear John. May he Rest In Peace.
