as a member of Ascension Lutheran, Milwaukee, I truly appreciated John's beautiful preludes/hymns/postludes  providing musical richness as a substitute organist. He was an inspiration to us!  I know that he was that for so many congregations in our Synod and beyond.

Mary & girls    Hopefully you received my card.  I do want to add more,  God gave John a very "special Gift" of music creation and you and your daughters have the  reward of appreciation and love .  What a blessing.  I know how much he will be missed.

I will remember John as a talented piano player, organist and how he stepped up to the plate to become Our Savior’s Lutheran Church’s choir director when J  Mark left.

For Black History month one year we sang a lively gospel song.  The piano part was sizzling and the piano was nearly on fire!

His organ playing was first class and brought so much to our services and concerts.

As a director, he helped me to develop my abilities. To help the alto section, he sent us via email our musical parts on utube.

A funny moment that sticks in my mind is his imitation of  Robby the robot!

Rest in peace, John.

I never had the opportunity to meet John, but I have gotten to meet and get to know his daughter Anna over the last couple of years.

Any parent's greatest legacy is seen through the character of their children.  And it's easy to see, through Anna's character, that John must have been quite a kind and good-hearted man.

Rest In Peace to John, and my sincerest condolences to the Seboldt family.
