John Scott Webb Jr., 22, of Pine Grove, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, in Washington Township.
Born Tuesday, Dec. 12, 1989, in Nuremberg, Germany, he was a son of John S. Sr. and Jodi R. Rolfe Webb of Lake Wynonah.
John was a 2008 Blue Mountain High School graduate.
He was a member of the Christ Evangelical Free Church in Bernville.
John worked as a laborer for Elk Environmental Services in Reading.
Senior Airman John S. Webb Jr. worked as an aircraft hydraulics mechanic with the 193rd Special Operations Wing Squadron in Middletown. He entered the military service Dec. 20, 2007, and was promoted to Senior Airman Oct. 7, 2011. He served in Iraq from April to September 2010, and was awarded the Air Force Acheivement Medal for his efforts during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
John loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and line dancing. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Jacob Webb and Jeremy Webb, both of Pine Grove; a sister, Jennifer Webb of Lake Wynonah; paternal grandparents, Archie and Vesta Webb of Woodward, OK; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Sheila Rolfe of Blue Eye, Miss.
Services will be held at Christ Evangelical Free Church on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at 6 p.m. with Pastor Matt Saxinger and Pastor Steve Essig officiating. Family and friends will be received for a viewing on Friday, Nov. 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Christ Evangelical Free Church, 8477 Rte. 183, Bernville.
Interment will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery, Bernville, at the convenience of the family.
The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations be given to: The 193 Special Operations Wing Association, 81 Constellation Court, Middletown PA, 17057, Attn: CMS Barry Frey, in his memory.
The H.L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
