We are honoring Mr. John Rossi, affectionately known to many as "Mr. Peacock". Born on June 20, 1948, John lived a life full of notable accomplishments and left a powerful imprint on those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
John was known for his vibrant personality, earning him the moniker "Mr. Peacock". Yet, despite the flamboyant nickname, he was a humble soul who preferred to be called by his given name, John. His charisma was as captivating as his humility was endearing, making him a beloved figure amongst his friends, family, and colleagues.
Among John’s most outstanding accomplishments was his remarkable career in broadcasting. Notably, he provided coverage for six Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades. His voice became a familiar sound resonating in homes across the country during the holiday season, a tradition that will be sorely missed.
John's legacy will be remembered as a beacon of broadcasting excellence. His dedication to his craft and his passion for parades have left an indelible mark in the realm of parade broadcasting. To say that he will be missed by his friends at NBC is an understatement; his absence will leave a void that cannot be filled.
