It is with heavy hearts we announce
the passing of John “Randy” Jones, affectionately known as Randy, on
August 13, 2025. Born December 23, 1953, in Newfoundland, Randy lived a
life rich in love, laughter, and generosity.

A proud Newfoundlander, Randy had a
love for artwork, a sharp sense of humor, and a gift for making people
feel welcome. He was also known to enjoy the occasional glass of fine
wine—though, if you knew Randy, you know occasional was never really the right word.

Randy had a rare generosity of
spirit. He didn’t just give; he made sure what he gave was better than
expected, thoughtful, and full of heart. That same spirit carried
through in his friendships and his family.

He leaves behind his greatest
treasures—his children, John, Sarah, and Emily—who will carry forward
his laughter, warmth, and love. Though he will be deeply missed, his
humor and generosity will continue to echo in the stories and memories
of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

May he rest in peace, and may his spirit live on in the laughter he left behind.
