John Purcell Brown, 81, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, April 3rd, 2026. Son of the late Wallace and Mary Brown he was raised and lived his formative years in Oakland, CA. A graduate of Kansas University he was a proud Jayhawk and devoted much time and travel in support of their football and basketball teams. A true patriot he served in the Marine Corps as an Artillery Commander, and in Vietnam as …
