Little John told me a couple months ago about this and it hurt. John was my cub scout leader growing up and used to race me on my bike. He would run and always let me beat him at the end. Many wonderful memories and life skills Mr.Pierce instilled in me growing up and I have always appreciated and respected those learning. He was like a Dad to me, He was one of the good guys and Is missed. Hope the Hiking and fishing is going well with a smile on your face !! Love
Happy Birthday dear friend. I miss our birthday call and missed sharing this past Broncos season with you. Love and miss you.
I worked with John briefly at Cabin Creek visit. John had invited me to come out to Cabin Creek and tour the upgrades they were in progress performing on both units. Very likeable guy to say the least! My best to his family. He was a straight up guy!!!

Many of us at W. W. Wheeler and Associates, Inc. worked with John, as he was the Xcel project manager for some of our engineering projects. John was consistently kind, polite, punctual, and always a pleasure to work with. Our condolences to his family and friends, as well as his Xcel work colleagues.

Most Sincerely, Steve Jamieson, President, and the staff at W. W. Wheeler & Associates.

When I moved to Arvada 6 years ago, John and Mary Anne were the most welcoming and friendly people I met.  I am going to miss seeing John around his house taking care of business, while I was too.  So sorry for your loss, Mary Anne and Pierce family and so sad we all lost a wonderful man.  His memory will become a treasure for us all.
I met John 16 years ago as his manager at Xcel, John is very dedicated to his job and profession with deep love for his family.  John will always bring positive energy to our team with his big smile and laughter.  I had a precious opportunity to see John at his project site recently.  John will be sadly missed by all his friends and colleagues at Xcel.
I met John as part of the Cabin Creek project.  Always a kind word and a smile.  Catching up with John was something I looked forward to when planning a visit to the site.  He seemed to enjoy Colorado Rockies baseball.  I had hoped to catch a game with him this season.  My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to his family and friends.  He will be greatly missed.
I only worked with John a few times.  I have to say that he was one of the most congenial people I ever worked with.  Always a kind word and a smile even when things may not be going as well as hoped.  When I became involved in one of his projects recently, he went out of his way to call me and welcome me to the team.  That meant a lot.   My heartfelt condolences to the family.   He will be missed by many.

I worked with John the past 2+ years at Cabin Creek. He was the project manager and I was the site manager working for a private firm. John was always a glass half full kind of guy at work and no matter what happened he would brush it off and already be looking for the next positive thing.  I miss meeting John at the bottom of the hill each day he would come up and talking about life and family before work conversations. He held others wellbeing above all else and was focused on safety items and making sure those he worked with went home every night.  We talked about camping, loving living in Colorado , and Nature. Unfortunately, I am out of state in July and will miss the memorial but will say good by to John  from someplace quiet in the Sierra Nevada. Condolences to his family and loved ones.  If he made this kind of impact on the people he only worked with some of the time I can imagine what a great man he was in other aspects of his life.

I had the pleasure of working with John for the last 7 years and he was always ready with praise and appreciation for the team.  I will miss working with him and offer my sincere condolences to his family.

John, Maryanne, and Jared cam…
2021
John, Maryanne, and Jared came to Wyoming for my wedding. John's ever present smile and laughter made the day even brighter and more joyful
