John's obituary
John was a Teacher and later joined the Saint Lucia Police Force where he quickly moved up the ranks to becoming a well-known police detective in Saint Lucia, his birthplace. In 1981 he migrated the United States where is he joined the Grayhound company. Despite his prominent career, John found true enjoyment in landscaping, something he inherited from both his parents who found peace in working the land. John also enjoyed carpentry, home renovations and remodeling. Most of all, at the end of a long day, John enjoyed the company of his close friends.
Survivors include his children Nixon Louis, Wanda Phillippe, Liza Bicette-James, Melissa Phillippe-Fedee, Shamma Phillippe-Harris, Tamara Keisha Antoine, and their families. John also left behind his siblings Cecilia Joseph, Andrea Philip, Cletus Phillippe, and their families. John was also brother to Agatha Clerona Philip, now deceased. Also left behind close friend Catherine Lansiquot better known as “Sista”, and many others too numerous to mention.
