Mr. Gregg, as I have always called him, was my shop teacher at Elmwood Park high school in the late seventies. He got me a job at a small shop down the street from school, Star Hydraulics, where I found that nearly half of the employees were former students of his. I worked there with those fellow students, as well as a bunch who came after me for 42 years. He would visit us on a regular basis at Star, always, always goofing around with us and generally shaking the place up. It was always accompanied words of wisdom and sound advice. I have received many of his tools which I will always be the tools of the Master of my profession.
