Heartfelt condolences from the team at Jimmy John’s Mt Prospect on Central road. We had the pleasure of working with John from Jan-Oct last year. He was kind, funny, willing to do whatever he could to help and open to learning new things. It was a pleasure getting to know him and he always spoke highly of his family with a smile.  Clearly a man who had worked hard throughout his life and was proud of his trade as a carpenter. Anytime I was working on a repair in the store he would offer wise advice as well. Our store staff is a variety of ages and personalities which can be an interesting dynamic, but every single person who worked with John respected him and enjoyed his company. We will all remember him fondly.

Sending my condolences to John's family and friends. John was my first cousin and I have many fond memories that include Christmases in Grandma and Grandpa Zohrer's basement, hanging out watching Eric's band play, fun summer BBQ's in Schatzie's back yard where he'd be telling funny stories and we'd talk about cheering on the Seahawks. I always loved that he was a fan even though he never lived over there. Living thousands of miles away from my Chicago family, my time with them was limited but John was one I was always excited to see and felt especially close to. Definitely gone too soon and am sending all my love to his family namely his wife Debbie, his 3 children and his brother Randy who has lost so much family in such a short period of time. Hugs to everyone. I wish I could be there to celebrate his life with you all.

We are so very sorry for your loss we were John and Debbie's friends and neighbors. We would like to attend the celebration of life. We enjoyed many nights in the yard listening to music and having fires in our pit. John is greatly missed. Please give our love to Debbie <3 Mike and Pam

Mr. P was always on the dance floor (or helping sound check or set up) at all of the shows. Bands will come and go, but I knew one thing for sure, Mr. P would be there. RIP ❤️
