John's obituary
John was born on February 11, 1949 in Philipsburg, PA, to John (Jr.) and Agnes (Novak) Oxley. He took great pleasure in his long employment with Federal Express and retired early to enjoy his many interests including camping and motorcycle riding.
John had a passion for everything that had to do with the outdoors. He spent a lot of time camping in his tear-drop trailer, kayaking, and sharing a fire and laughs with everyone around him. John’s greatest joy came from riding his motorcycle, especially with his oldest and best friends. He was also an avid reader, music lover and movie buff with a wonderful collection of movie and music CD’s, that he just loved to share, ranging from classic to contemporary. He will be remembered for his delight in long conversations, his sense of humor (at times silly), and his love for everything outdoors.
John was preceded in death by his father, John, and his mother, Agnes. He is survived by his Sister, Ann (Joe) Cavallini, four children, and five grandchildren, together with many loyal and life-long friends.
As John wishes to spend eternity among the stars, his ashes will be scattered in his favorite places by his family and friends at a later date.
