John C. “Denzel” Nwabugwu, 34, of Malden, passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2024. He was born on April 23, 1990. He leaves behind his loving wife, Justyne Nwabugwa of Malden, 32, his mother, Nicole Shaw and step-father William of Virginia, mother and father-in-law Donna and Robert Vella of Saugus, sister and brother-in-law Keri and Felipe Pereira of Naples FL, a niece and nephew, Mila and Julian Pereira, and too many family and friends to list.

Denzel loved Halloween and would go all out with his costumes. Every year, he and Justyne went to Salem for the holiday and people always asked to take photos of him. They loved to go out to dinner every weekend, have movie nights, go to Dave & Busters, and just enjoyed every moment they spent together. Denzel and Justyne met 8 years ago and recently married on October 7, 2023. The family will be planning a private ceremony to celebrate Denzel’s life at a later date. We ask for privacy during Justyne and our family’s time of grieving.
