John's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Neal Jr., who passed away on January 25th, 2024. Born on February 28th, 1975, John has left a vibrant imprint on the hearts of those who knew him.
He is remembered with love by his spouse, Lisa Shirley and his children: Ashley Neal, Savannah Neal, and John Neal. His memories also continue to live on in his sister, Rachel Neal, and his father, John Neal Sr. He is predeceased by his mother, Rhonda Neal.
John was a man of great charisma. He was outgoing, funny, and abundantly talented. He possessed a unique ability to turn ordinary moments into memorable ones. His amiable personality and easy laughter will always be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
He was a lover of art and expression, while enjoying things like drawing, writing, and playing guitar. He relished in the excitement of watching movies particularly Star Wars, Spiderman, Ironman, Transformers and was a fan of anything Marvel or DC. His favorite TV show was the classic Seinfeld and he would often be found playing his favorite songs from Korn, Metallica, Slipknot and Red Hot Chilli Peppers and more on the guitar.
John was a loyal fan of the Alabama football team and was often seen enjoying his favorite drink, Dr.Pepper, while cheering them on. John loved spending time with his family and his children were his world.
John's philosophy in life was simple but profound, always advocating to stand up for oneself and not to take life too seriously. This approach to life is a testament to his strength of spirit and his ability to find joy and humor in every situation.
A Memorial service for John will be held on March 2nd, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. We invite everyone who knew John to join us as we celebrate his life, his spirit, and the many ways he touched our lives.
