John "TuTu" Ross, 60, of Steubenville, OH, passed away on November 13, 2022 after a long battle with heart failure.


John was born on November, 13 1962 to William and Loralei Ross in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from high school, he went on to serve in the US Army.


For many years, he loved his first wife, Melinda. After a childhood of memories and an abundance of love, the two wed in 1983. They were soon met with their first child and only son, John, who most call Chris, in 1984. A few years later, they would bring their second child and first daughter, Brittany Nicole in 1986. After enduring Brittany's premature birth and the challenges thereafter, they welcomed their final child, Brianne Rachae in 1987. John was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. While he stumbled along the way, his family meant more to his than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of all of his children, visiting them wherever they were.


John was also a passionate cook and could often be found providing meals for those he loved.


Anyone who knew John knew that he was the most loving, joyful, charismatic and genuine friend, son, brother, uncle, and father. John was predeceased by his beloved father, William and his daughter, Brittany. He is survived by his son, John Christopher, his daughter, Brianne Rachae, mother, Loralei, siblings Michael, William, Terra and Keith and a host of friends and family.


The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Gregory-Martin Chapel at 711 South Street, in Steubenville, OH 43952. There will be a celebration of life at the aforementioned location, on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. A viewing will be held from 12:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
