Throughout his life, Mark taught the power of determination. He believed we could achieve anything we set our minds to. His friendship knew no bounds, and he showed us that even the most unlikely of friends can form bonds that last a lifetime. Every day, he illustrated his love and passion for life. From him, we learned to be enthusiastic, present and to cherish those around us; the people you love are just a phone call away, so call them! He taught us that good things take time, the journey is just as important as the destination, and to never under-salt our food.
He was the life of the party! He'd be the last one on the dance floor, but the first one up to make breakfast for everyone in the morning. He was a fan of a firm handshake, an off-color joke, whiskey on the rocks, black coffee, and all life had to offer. He took the good with the bad and never complained, nor avoided a challenge. Being a world class outdoorsman, he taught us how to fish, ride dirt bikes, snow mobile, and just get mud on your jeans.
Among Mark's most significant accomplishments was raising five amazing humans without a handbook. His legacy is reflected in the life and family he built brick by brick while demonstrating the dedication it takes to create something meaningful and lasting. He believed that true success and fulfillment don't come instantly but are earned through steady effort and persistence. This ethos will live on through his children, family and all who know him.
Mark leaves behind unforgettable memories as a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a pillar of strength for his family. His absence will be deeply felt, but his indomitable spirit and the lessons he shared will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
